Permanent Residence fee (called PR fee or RPRF)- Primary Applicant: CAN $550 Secondary Applicant: CAN $550 & Child Applicant: CAN $150

  • Permanent Resident Fee is the fee you pay to Government of Canada as basic payment for visa application processing. You can pay this before or upon arrival in the country.   • This is not a physical cost to be paid as fee. Fund management is maintenance of fund to be showcased by the applicant (as Proof of Fund) to Canadian government. The funds are necessary to showcase to the immigration authorities as the government needs to be assured that you can sustain yourself and accompanying family members after immigrating to the country. Showcasing Proof of Fund is mandatory under Express Entry’s Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) and Federal Trade Worker Program (FSTP). For Canadian Experience Class, it is not mandatory to showcase funds. Under Provincial Nomination Programs (PNPs) it may or may not require by the province to show funds.

  • Note that the borrowed amount of money cannot be considered as Fund. Moreover, these assets count as Proof of Fund:
